Marbella Club is a refreshing blend of old and new, on Marbella’s coast line in the Costa del Sol.
Formerly the residence of Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe, The Marbella Club retains a princely feel to it and has a traditional Mediterranean style, rather than a commercial one.
This wonderfully appointed beachfront property has 84 bedrooms and 37 suites, all elegantly designed with light modern amenities. Additionally there are 14 Andalucían-style villas distributed around the grounds of the hotel, with their own gardens and plunge pools.
There is no chance of avoiding 'carbs' in 'marbs' with five dining options on offer; The Beach Club has a convenient poolside setting and a stone's throw from the beach, serving international cuisine and fresh seafood cooked to order. The Golf Resort Club House has views of surrounding mountain scenery and the ocean, and serves authentic Andalucían delicacies. The Grill Restaurant is a top spot to dine on a candle lit patio, with fusion Mediterranean dishes created by chef Juan Galvez. Lastly MC Café is a great spot (night or day), and it even serves a low-calorie spa menu. For a cocktail or two MC Beach and the Pool Bar are worth a try for great views in the sun and chilled-out ambience (not to mention a large range of local beverages).
The Kid's club is its own other entity at Marbella Club, located in the Lion's Club villa near the beach. Here there are a variety of activities for youngsters to enjoy during their stay, including sushi and pizza making classes, shell collecting, kayaking, surfing, tennis and swimming lessons. Children can also be taught Spanish as well as getting help with their holiday homework. Parents can take some time off, whilst their little ones are having fun and are in safe hands.
Guests looking to avoid the Marbella crowds; can escape in to Marbella Club's private gardens and swimming pools. The pool deck centers the hotel, and is a great little spot for lounging, cocktail in hand. For more R and R the Thalasso Spa offers a range of indulgent treatments and massages, and it is on the prime location of the beachfront. For something a little more energetic the hotels offers horse riding, a first class golf course, and a range of water sports.
