Spain Visa Requirements
British citizens do not need a visa for holidays to Spain if travelling for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
Passport Validity for Spain Travel
Your passport should be valid for the entirety of your stay. It must also have a ‘date of issue’ of less than ten years before your arrival date, and an ‘expiry date’ of at least three months after the day you plan to leave.
Other Key Entry Information
At Spanish border control, you may need to show a return or onward travel ticket, proof of travel insurance and evidence that you have enough money for your stay. You may also need to provide confirmation of your hotel booking or proof of address, or an invitation if you’re staying with friends or family.
Spain has implemented the EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES), which involves registering your biometric details, such as fingerprints and a photo.
