Located on Ayios Yiannis beach (otherwise known as Shirley Valentine after it was filmed there), this seafront property on Mykonos has spectacular views out to the sacred island of Delos.
White washed walls, blue skies, and crystal clear waters evoke thoughts of a perfect Greek holiday, and the Mykonos Grand is just the ticket. The majority of the 107 rooms have sea views, with the remaining few having garden views, and all have private balconies or terraces, as well as a sitting area inside. There are also one and two bedroom suites, some with private pools, and all of the suites and rooms are complete with the latest mod cons such as IPod docks and flat screen telly's.
There are two restaurants serving delicious food, including freshly caught seafood and traditional Greek food with a modern twist.
Facilities include a spa, hot tub, and large swimming pool with fantastic views over the Aegean Sea - opt for a sun lounger or go one better and relax in the privacy of a cabana. The beach is also ideal for swimming and sunbathing, and the staff are always on hand with refreshing drinks. To ensure guests can relax in the utmost peace, no water sports are organised at the beach - which simply means we can concentrate on our book more, or on sunbathing for that matter.
If a little more action is required, there is a fitness centre, tennis court, and squash court, and excursions can be arranged to the surrounding areas. Explore Mykonos Town, which is just 15 minutes by car from the hotel, or for a cultural fix head to the old monastery at Ano Mera or take a guided tour of Delos Island.
Why we love it
Mykonos Grand have their own stone-built amphitheatre. You can often watch plays, concerts and take part in yoga classes within.
