Hotels are so 2015. For the ultimate luxury holiday experience, why not explore the coast and islands of Greece for a week in European summer on a crewed and totally private superyacht? Honeymoons in particular don’t get much more original, or Original.
Argentous is a sleek 65ft yacht with the facilities of a luxury villa and the service levels you could expect from a 5* hotel, except the location changes from beautiful bay to heavenly harbour every night.
Based in Corfu in summer, depending on your wishes Argentous can explore the lovely islands of Paxos and Anti Paxos to Corfu's south, the Faraway Islands of Mathraki and Ereikoussa to the north or even Puglia across the Adriatic should the mood take you.
Come December, Argentous has crossed the Atlantic to ply the waters between St Lucia, St Vincent & The Grenadines and Grenada.
Now for the specifics. Argentous has three double en suite cabins with electric loos and one bunk room, making her suitable for either couples or families. For honeymooners and couples, the obvious choice is the elegant master cabin spanning the width of the boat aft of the saloon and with a super king bed, sofa and private shower room. The additional two doubles are forward of the saloon while the bunk room is across from the galley. The skipper and chef (usually a couple) have their own quarters, reached separately for total privacy.
There is a spacious dining area below decks but given the destinations that Argentous will sail, most meals will be taken on deck around the cockpit tables. There is even an in-built barbeque or the crew can arrange picnics for shore visits.
Other activities include exploring on the 40 knot tender, or water-skiing, rubber-ringing or wakeboarding behind her. There are also two stand up paddle boards for exploring the shoreline and rigs designed to turn the boards into windsurfers for use by children and adults alike. Guests who are keen to learn the ropes can also receive sailing instruction throughout the trip or lie back in the foredeck hammock or loungers and watch the pro crew in action.
