A member of the Grecotel family, this all singing all dancing hotel follows its siblings and caters for all.

A modern Minoan Palace, there isn't a high rise building in site. Amirandes is in keeping with its Cretan surroundings, whilst having all the bells and whistles of a luxury hotel. Out of the 212 rooms in this modern Minoan Palace, over 60 of them have private pools, and some have private cinemas and home gyms. There are 20 different room types, from guestrooms and bungalows to villas and the ultra swanky royal villas, as well as suites designed especially with families in mind. They are all decked out with the latest gadgets, and have fantastic views out to either the sea or gardens.

Those who don't have private pools needn't worry as there is an Olympic sized sea water pool, an indoor pool, and one just for children. Other facilities include three tennis courts, as well as coaching on request, basketball, beach volley ball, and a variety of water sports. Golf fans will also be entertained with the new Golf Academy and nearby 18-hole Crete Golf Club.

There is also an excellent new spa, featuring roof top yoga lessons, an open air gym, five massage suites and an Ayuverda centre.

With a choice of six restaurants, the chances are there will be something for everyone. From traditional and locally sourced Cretan cuisine at Xasteria, to Asian at Blue Monkey, and seafood alfresco at Petrino, it is all so delicious it would be a shame not to try it all.
