Fresh air, broad horizons and a cosy lodge

Nestled in the deep forests of northern Sweden on the River Rane, your Lapland sanctuary emerged from a desire to create somewhere at one with nature. Owners Liza and Niklas are two urban dwellers in love with open spaces and cuisine. Their two passions permeate the life of the lodge, where hospitality plays an essential role. Isolated in its remote setting, the property has just three private cabins (two double and one family), old chalets renovated with a cosy but contemporary feel, and with a particular focus on the peace and privacy of guests. Each has a private hot tub on its terrace, where you can unwind after a full-on day. The set tasting menu is inspired by local hunting and fishing ingredients and products.

On your Nordic itinerary

During
Lapland winters, the days are short but the nights are active and warm, sometimes draped in the luminescent green of the Aurora Borealis; the northern lights. As part of this journey, we have already planned a condensed version of Nordic activities, starting with a snowmobile safari. Another must-see: dog sledding, to get an even better taste of the majestic silence of the snow-covered plains, with the only noise around it being the squeak of the sled and panting of the husky dogs. Thermal clothing, transfers and coffee breaks are included for these private activities. Back at the lodge, there's nothing more relaxing than a visit to the Swedish sauna followed by a traditional massage, to loosen muscles after a day spent in the cold of the polar winter. You'll be ready to watch for the Northern Lights in the evening.

Stockholm in a nutshell

The first two nights of this trip are spent on a quiet island facing the sea, a few minutes walk from the centre of the capital. The charm of the historic building remains, but the hotel has added contemporary details to the interiors, giving them comfort, clean lines and clarity. Enjoy a Scandinavian introduction with a stroll looking out to the sea; trendy addresses and museums in Stockholm at your door. You'll walk around the city with a young local guide, to discover their favourite spots and well-kept secrets. Like a subtitled summary of Stockholm with a local. You can also get a taste of the capital through its food, thanks to the Nordic flavours and the new cuisine that have made Swedish gastronomy renowned. A table is reserved for you in one of our favourite restaurants. Likewise, tickets to the Sturebadet Spa , a real institution in Stockholm, are included. There you can go from hydromassage to aromatherapy, from steam room to sauna - and the Nordic cold seems a distant memory.
