Located in the heart of the Cote D’Azur, Terre Blanche fits in perfectly with the glitz and glamour associated with this corner of France. The hotel is just forty-five minutes away from Nice Cote D’Azur International Airport, making it the ideal base from which to explore the best of what the South of France has to offer.
Terre Blanche comprises a series of white stone and red clay villas, which contrast beautifully with a backdrop of rolling green hills. The hotel prides its self on space, comfort and privacy, and all 115 suites and villas reflect this with a combination of traditional and contemporary Provencal décor, mixed with the odd modern luxury (like heated floors). All rooms have a bath, separate shower and double sinks providing ample room for both couples and families. The Deluxe suites are located on the ground floor, overlooking the beautiful surrounding gardens with French doors that open out to your own private terrace. Meanwhile Premier suites provide enhanced views over the hilltops and panoramic views of the valley. All of the suites and villas are well organised to cater for young children and connecting suites are available for families with teenagers who desire more privacy.
The hotel boasts a range of facilities, including a tranquil spa with private tea room, two prestigious 18-hole golf courses and a professionally-led kids club catering for kids aged two to twelve years old. The spa also boasts a gym for those who can't sit still for too long, a massage parlour with specifically tailored treatments, beauty salon and Studio Zen yoga room. And as if that wasn't a wide enough array of facilities then the four heated swimming pools on site should add to the experience.
There are also four restaurants at Terre Blanche, all offering a different gastronomic experience but with the same aim of honouring local French cuisine. Tousco provides a casual atmosphere with outdoor dining by the infinity pool, while Faventia provides Michelin-starred contemporary French cuisine. Alternatively, Gaudina has a jazzy atmosphere and is the perfect spot to enjoy a midday snack out on the terrace (and boasts a fabulous wine menu) while Caroubiiers is located in the Club House and offers golfers a well-deserved break.
If you ever tire of the abundance of pools, spa treatments and restaurants within the hotel then there's a multitude of activities available nearby. Explore the hilltop villages of the nearby Fayence region and take a leisurely stroll through their narrow medieval streets, or continue on to the wine producers of the Var and spend the day visiting some of the region's best vineyards. Alternatively, day trips to Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo are all within easy reach and more adventurous activities like mountain biking, gliding and helicopter flights are all available.
Why we love it
In the summer the hotel runs a new restaurant called the Pitchoun at the Tousco that's dedicated especially to children. The tasty lunch buffet instantly eradicates any impending food dramas amongst the little monsters.
