Having opened in December 2011 in Courchevel 1850, Le K2 is the younger sister to the 5* Le Kilimandjaro hotel, and has upped the glitz factor in the village even higher.

Le K2 has an impressive entrance on the Rue des Clarines, while 29 large rooms and suites in the main hotel, plus five luxurious self-contained Suite-Chalets, line the Cospillot ski slope with panoramic views of the piste.

The layout of the K2 hotel is designed in the form of traditional chalets which blend into the landscape like a hamlet. The central building houses the hotel's facilities and services, as well as 29 rooms and suites. The modern and spacious guestrooms and suites offer stunning views of the surrounding massifs, forest and valley. In addition to this, Le K2 also offer five 'Suite-Chalets', which each include five or six bedrooms, and a full team of chalet staff. Suite-chalets include private swimming pools, home cinemas, a hammam or hot tub, lounge with cosy fireplace, TV room, kitchen, ski room and large balconies.

After a day on the slopes why not relax in the 600m² spa, go swimming in the infinity pool which spills onto the valley, or eat at the gastronomic Le Kintessence restaurant, which is the deserved owner of two Michelin stars. Spend late evenings savouring the mountain views alongside a drink by the fire in the 8611 lounge bar. The hotel also has another more informal Black Pyramid restaurant, which houses the wine cellar - stocked with over 1000 bottles, ensuring the perfect wine pairing for every course.

For a post ski treat, Goji Spa by La Prairie offers a selection of luxurious treatments, including a caviar firming facial, and treatments are swiftly followed with a warm, fragrant herbal tea. The swimming pool overlooks the stunning valley, and there is also a hammam, hot and cold baths and an exterior hot tub for the ultimate in relaxation.

Whilst parents indulge in the spa, children can head to the Kids Zone, where a triple-screen video game system, simulator, recording studio and interactive dance floor are sure to keep them entertained. A professional activity leader also organises a range of children's workshops.
