Chateau de Valmer is a magnificent family run old bourgeois manor house surrounded by a six- hectare vineyard and beautiful orchard and conveniently situated near the beach in La Croix- Valmer.

There are 42 guest rooms at Chateau de Valmer, all of which reflect the colours of the Provence with its old style wardrobes, Pierre Frey fabrics, antique furniture and terra cotta floor tiles. We are rather fond of the stylish décor and views over the property's beautiful gardens which create a peaceful atmosphere for guests.

In addition to the guest rooms, there are four individual private residences at the hotel, such as The Perched Hut; the hut is nestled in a century old oak tree with magnificent views of the property and grounds, which can all be enjoyed from its private patio. The hut is kitted out with modern furnishing and natural wood flooring, basically it is a tree house for grownups and is perfect for a romantic getaway. The Perched Family Hut lies in the property's vineyards and provides another tree house style design. For even more luxury stay at Le Cabanon, a private cottage, featuring a lounge, kitchen, dressing room, two bedrooms and a garden, all surrounded by beautiful lavender fields. The Bastidon villa overlooks the vineyards and the palm groves of the chateau, with four bedrooms, a living room, kitchen with dining room and a terrace for panoramic views.

For a fine dining experience visit La Palmeraie, a restaurant in the chateau's fabulous garden, surrounded by the palm groves. A breakfast buffet is available in the mornings, and for dinner chef Akhara Chay prepares gourmet dishes with the taste of the Provence. Lunch hampers are available from the hotel to be enjoyed by the poolside, in the garden or countryside, or even down on the beach. There is a patio bar which is very popular for an exotic cocktail in the garden or by the pool. However make sure you pop by the Chateau's wine cellar to explore and taste the wines of their vineyards.

Kick back and relax in the hotels exclusive Spa nestled in the Chateau's gardens. An open pool- jacuzzi offers stunning views of the gardens and the countryside. Revitalize with the expertise treatments and unwind in the hammam and sauna. And, if you can drag yourself away from all the relaxing treatments, visit the hotels gym for a good workout.

The hotel's swimming pool is the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing swim or to relax by in the shadow of the chestnut and acacia trees and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding gardens. The chateau has its own vegetable-orchard patch and beautiful rose garden. The hotels' chef even uses the organic veg to supplement his dishes! Guests can easily stroll to a private beach, La Pinede Plage, which is a wonderfully sandy stretch with sun beds and deckchairs to enjoy views of Les iles d'Or and the magnificent Gigaro Bay. If none of that is enough there are various sporty activities available at and around the hotel, such as windsurfing, sea kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing and diving, as well as tennis and a handful of great walks.

The surrounding Southern French area is worth exploring; The famous litz and glam of Saint Tropez is just on the door step and is rather idylic with its charming little fishing port, narrow streets, famous Pampelonne Beach and the Provencal Market. Visit the winery estates and typical Provencal villages, such as Ramatuelle, Gassin or Grimaud. Lastly, why not even plan a day trip to the iles d'Or, which offer fabulous walks, sandy beaches and picturesque views from the cliffs to the majestic blue sea.
