Walking in Iceland

A pretty short three hour flight from London takes you to the spectacular country of Iceland. Here, the dramatic landscapes vary from frozen glaciers and snowy mountains to moss covered lava fields and black sand beaches. Iceland's scenery is so special you'll want to go out and explore by any means possible - though walking is a great way to start!

Climb a mountain in Malaysia

From white-water rafting and diving to climbing Mount Kinabalu, which at 13,500 ft is the highest peak in Southeast Asia, Borneo is an adventurers dream.

The walk to the summit of Mount Kinabalu passes through several ecosystems; from tropical forest at the base to frosty alpine meadows higher up.

Sailing in the BVI's

The British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean are a group of about 40 islands set to the East of Puerto Rico. Many of the islands are uninhabited, and the sea is peaceful, making this a great place to practice sailing, hopping from deserted island to deserted island discovering your own perfect beaches.

Ski safari in the Dolomites

If you're looking for a more challenging ski trip than the usual resort-based holidays, Italy's Alta Via Dolomites ski safari takes in some of country's best descents. As well as backcountry ski touring, off-piste and powder fields, the route also takes in some of the most dramatic views of the spectacular Dolomites.

Windsurfing in Brazil

In North Eastern Brazil is the National Park of Jericoacoara, a long coastline fringed by huge dunes. As well as a windy shore, there are also lakes of crystal-clear water, ideal for newcomers to wind or kite surfing. For those with a little more experience, Prea enjoys strong winds and huge waves, and there are a number of schools here offering one-to-one lessons.

Horse riding safari in Botswana

One of the most exciting ways to see wild animals in their natural habitat, riding safaris put you at the same speed and level as the animals you're spotting. Botswana was the birthplace of this activity and understandably so; not only does it offer year-round riding opportunities, but also a wide variety of terrains.

Sea kayaking in Croatia

Croatia's beautiful coast, famed for its incredibly clear waters, is spotted with islands. The Dalmatian Coast is ideal for sea kayaking, from pretty fishing villages to trendy harbour-side towns such as Hvar, kayaking is the perfect way to appreciate the area and discover your own private cove.

Trekking in Morocco

Providing a welcome escape from the bustling city of Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains offer fantastic views, fresh air, and some wonderful trekking terrain. Guided treks to suit all levels of fitness can be arranged.

Get fit in Spain

In a truly wonderful setting in the Sierra Blanca Mountains of Andalucia, the Mission Fitness Retreat gets you in shape whilst enjoying the Spanish sunshine. Dog-sledding in Lapland

In the Arctic north of Sweden winters are long and cold - and also perfect for dog-sledding! Race through snow laden pine forests on a sledge controlled by you and pulled only by your team of pure-bred Siberian husky dogs. Snowmobiling, ice driving, and other winter activities are also available.
