Forza Mare is a new contemporary boutique hotel located in Dobrota, two miles from the UNESCO heritage medieval town of Kotor.
Forza Mare has ten double suites - four with sea views and balconies - and each completely different from the other. Each suite is themed around different cultures from around the world: Africa, India, Japan, China and (rather randomly) Dubai. Not for lovers of the understated, expect animal print, bright colours and bold patterns throughout.
The a la carte restaurant serves both local and international cuisine, including delicious fresh fish, and there is a pastry shop with a sun terrace with wonderful views of Boka Bay and the fjord surrounded by steep hills.
There is a Wellness and Spa centre, a shaded outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, as well as a small beach with a four poster bed that is perfect for a mid afternoon siesta.

The four poster day bed on the private beach is the prime siesta spot.
Built in 1934, Villa Milocer was the former summer residence of Queen Marija Karadordevic, and later of Josip Broz Tito, the former leader of Yugoslavia, and now forms part of the Aman Montenegro with Sveti Stefan.
Surrounded by more than 800 olive trees and cedar and pine forests in 80 acres of grounds, the stone mansion is fronted by the pink sandy curve of Milocer beach. Villa Milocer's spacious suites blend the regal grandeur of old Europe with contemporary comfort and style. Parquet floors are warmed by woollen rugs and a fireplace takes centre stage. Leather chairs and bright silk adorn the living quarters while bathrooms feature stone floors and free-standing bathtubs. All suites have balconies with views over the sea towards Sveti Stefan or of the gardens.
Villa Milocer's Living Room offers formal dining overlooking the beach, or in the intimate seven-table Dining Room with open fireplace. The villa has a spacious library and wireless internet access is available.
The 21,000 sq ft Spa Wellness Centre is set back from Queen's Beach in cedar and pine woods and overlooking the sea. The spa has relaxation rooms and terraces, Pilates and yoga studios, saunas, cold plunge pools, treatment rooms and steam showers. For guests too unable to leave the hotel proper, there are also treatment rooms (in charming stone cottages) on the island itself.
