Our team of Asia experts are on hand to tailor-make the ultimate
Indonesia
family holiday, be that island-hopping to experience Indonesia's
remarkable diversity, or staying put on one island to dig a little
deeper and really get to the root of what makes a place so special.
Whatever you choose to do, if you book with Original Travel you and
the family will benefit from our exclusive additional services,
including fast-track check-in and security at the airport, and
lounge access (even if you're flying economy); and children aged
between three and ten also receive a fun pack of challenges and
destination-specific quizzes designed by much-loved children's
party people Sharky & George to keep them interested on long
flights or transfers. Once you're actually in Indonesia, our
clued-up local Concierges are on hand to take the trip to the next
level with family-friendly restaurant recommendations and
last-minute plans.
So that's the foundations of your Indonesia family holiday planned,
now what about the intriguing, amazing islands and experiences
themselves? Obvious starting point would be Bali,
where beautiful beaches and family-friendly accommodation come as
standard, but where there's also a raft of other family-friendly
activities on offer, including - well - rafting, and cycling,
kayaking, snorkelling, cookery classes, traditional craft lessons,
surfing and riding. We can even arrange cultural (but not too
cultural) tours by convertible VWs.
Over on Java there are amazing temple complexes to explore, more beautiful beaches and cultural curiosities such as magical Javanese shadow puppet shows in places like Yogyakarta. Beyond Bali to the east from Java is Lombok, where families can enjoy volcano hiking trips and snorkelling with turtles off the Gili Islands. And did someone say orangutans? Your little monkeys can see these rare and wonderful apes in their natural habitat on Sumatra or Kalimantan, the bit of Borneo that's part of Indonesia. And dragons? No problem, go to Komodo and the children can see actual Komodo dragons. Bragging rights don't come much bigger.
Planning a successful family holiday takes a similar amount of organisation and fortitude as a small scale military operation. But fear not, our team of specialists (many of whom are parents themselves) are here to take the stress out of the planning process so those toddler tantrums and teenage meltdowns are kept to a minimum.
From our carefully curated Sharky & George fun packs, which keep children entertained on those long journeys, to knowing the most family-friendly hotels and holding client focus groups, we pride ourselves on making sure that you have the best family holiday imaginable because there's no more important time together.
