For anyone with a sweet tooth, Paris is without a doubt one of the best Easter destinations. Indulge in mouth-wateringly good chocolate creations as you visit some of the city's top chocolateries and seek out the finest Easter eggs to sink your teeth into. Many of the city's famous sites - including the Sacre-Coeur - have great celebrations at this time of year and there are countless award-winning restaurants to dine in once you're ready for something savoury.
If you're in the mood for festivities, head to the Spanish city of Seville to experience one of the country's biggest celebrations - Santa Semana (Easter Holy Week). Taking place in the week leading up to Easter, the celebration sees people take to the streets for huge processions complete with large statues and colourful floats and it is a fascinating spectacle to witness if you don't mind the crowds.
For adventurous families who want to travel further afield, Oman is a great Easter holiday destination. Spend your days visiting medieval forts; bumping across the wilderness on 4x4 safaris; and dolphin and whale watching on the coast.
