For anyone with a sweet tooth, Paris is without a doubt one of the best Easter destinations. Indulge in mouth-wateringly good chocolate creations as you visit some of the city's top chocolateries and seek out the finest Easter eggs to sink your teeth into. Many of the city's famous sites - including the Sacre-Coeur - have great celebrations at this time of year and there are countless award-winning restaurants to dine in once you're ready for something savoury.
Festivities in Seville
If you're in the mood for festivities, head to the Spanish city of Seville to experience one of the country's biggest celebrations - Santa Semana (Easter Holy Week). Taking place in the week leading up to Easter, the celebration sees people take to the streets for huge processions complete with large statues and colourful floats and it is a fascinating spectacle to witness if you don't mind the crowds.
Linger Longer in Oman
For adventurous families who want to travel further afield, Oman is a great Easter holiday destination. Spend your days visiting medieval forts; bumping across the wilderness on 4x4 safaris; and dolphin and whale watching on the coast. The island nation is a great destination for families, with peaceful beaches and excellent hotels at every turn, and also anyone with a love of history and culture with its well-preserved classical ruins, remote monasteries, Byzantine churches and crusader fortresses.

Use it or Lose it
Every year, the same story plays out: employees in the UK let holiday days go to waste. One survey found that 65% of UK workers don’t use up their allowance – and a whopping 17% leave five or more days unclaimed. Another source concurs: in 2023, 61% of workers reported not using all of their annual leave. This is all especially galling when you compare us to our European neighbours.
