I discovered the brand new Le Portetta hotel

Just before Christmas...

I was whisked off to Courchevel 1650 in France on a research trip to see the brand new Le Portetta hotel. From the moment I walked through the glass doors, I felt warm and cosy, and even for an avid skier like me, the roaring fire in the sitting room with its large armchairs and sofas nearly proved a distraction from the slopes!

All rooms are spacious and elegant, many with balconies overlooking the piste. The six apartments hidden at the top of the hotel are well worth considering too; each morning your breakfast is delivered to your door and you can also choose to eat in the hotel's restaurant for dinner if you do not want to cook.

There is nowhere else I would rather be!

I must also mention the stunning spa located at the bottom of the hotel, with a sauna, steam room and treatment rooms for those needing some 'me' time after a hard day on the slopes. There is nowhere else I would rather be!
