Cavas Wine Lodge
Enclosed by immaculate vineyards, this superb Mendoza estate is located in a private 60-acre valley.
The guest rooms are called vignettes due to their setting within the vineyard; all guest rooms and villas face west to ensure that guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Andes without leaving their room. Each guest room has its private deck, plunge pool and wood burning fireplace.
The spa is a big draw to the lodge with heated pools, baths and treatment rooms offering unusual wine therapies. Guests can choose from different sessions of vinotherapy, an ancient Roman practice in its original form: baths of honey and wine and various grape treatments that nourish and reinvigorate the skin. Park Hyatt Mendoza
In an elegant building with a beautifully restored 19th century Spanish colonial façade, the hotel's guestrooms are elegantly furnished, and have views either of the Andes Mountain range or the hotel gardens.

Posada Salentein
An exclusive posada in Finca La Pampa at the foot of the Andes, Posada Salentein is surrounded by vineyards and is a wine lover's haven.
There are 16 rooms spread out across three separate houses at this boutique hotel - eight of which are in a house called Los Racimos, with eight further rooms in the newer Los Sarmientos and Los Zarcillos.
Food is homemade and delicious, served in the dining room next to a cosy living room with a fireplace. Local produce is used throughout and Argentine specialities fill the menu - empanadas criollas (local meat pies) are cooked in the terracotta oven, and beef casserole Salentein Malbec-style in the traditional iron pan, naturally accompanied by lashings of local wine.
Located in Argentina's premium wine growing region, Posada Salentein is surrounded by the vineyards of Bodegas Salentein (part of the same family), and the posada can organise tours of the wineries and private tastings in the cellar. The area is also home to some remarkable architecture - visit the Chapel of the Gratitude and Killka, ending the tour in the winery.
There is also a swimming pool at Posada Salentein, and other activities include cooking and horse riding at San Pablo state, which is located 1700m over sea level at the foot of the Andes Mountains - a seriously impressive backdrop.

Entre Cielos
Entre Cielos is a new luxury hotel in Mendoza region, one of the largest wine regions in Latin America, with breathtaking views of the Andes and vineyards.
There are 15 individually designed and decorated guest rooms, inspired by the surrounding region and with references to the Marantal wines produced by the hotel owners. All the rooms make use of natural light and some have private terraces.
The main restaurant at the hotel is the elegant Katarina Restaurant. It offers international dishes given a local spin with regional flavours and all enjoyed with a spectacular view of the mountains and vineyards. The Beef Club & Wine House Restaurant serves that most Argentine of specialities - barbecues - along with regional dishes. A large wine cellar is home to some of the most exclusive labels in the region, including the very finest malbecs.
The Spa & Hammam area is the first in Latin America to feature the eponymous Turkish steam room and also offers a variety of treatments including some exclusive grape based Wine Treatments. Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely swim in the swimming pool, relax in the Jacuzzi, or settle into a corner of the peaceful hotel garden.
Away from the hotel, the Plaza de la Independencia and the Malvinas Argentinas Stadium are worth a visit, as are the traditional wineries Bodega Nieto Senetiner and Bodega Lagarde.

Alpasion Lodge
Alpasion Lodge is a luxurious lodge an hour and a half from the city of Mendoza in Uco Valley, the heart of Argentina's premier wine region.
The adobe style lodge has just six bedrooms themed after the elements, from earth to air, and each with a private terrace and en suite bathroom. The sixth, Fire, is a fun children's room with bunk beds and an adjoining playroom for any families staying at the lodge, but given that wine tasting and vineyard visits are the main event here, the five adult rooms will likely appeal more.
With wine in mind, the facilities include an extensive wine cellar where guests can sample classic local vintages, plus a cosy living room (which can double as a film screening room) and library with log fire. In summer, guests also have the run of the infinity pool, the Jacuzzi and the gardens, and an outdoor fire burns at night on the roof terrace, which offers wonderful panoramas of the Andes. Meals are served in the elegant dining room, with the emphasis on Argentinian specialities; beef playing a big part, naturally, accompanied by the uncannily complimentary local wines.
