A small boutique hotel on the Sri Lankan coast, just seven miles south of Galle, KK Beach is a stylish escape with a stunning location. Owned by the same team as the award winning Kahanda Kanda, luxury and attention to detail are offered as a given.
With just six suites KK Beach is a very exclusive affair, ensuring quality of service and a peaceful atmosphere. All six of the suites have private terraces from which to enjoy the panoramic ocean views, and inside are bright and airy with a clean white and deep navy colour scheme that perfectly complements the beachside setting. Two of the suites are standard Deluxe Doubles, two are larger Suites with separate lounge areas, and the final two suites are Penthouses, which benefit from prime top floor location, bathtubs, and private sunbathing terraces.
Like its sister resort Kahanda Kanda, there is a firm focus on fine food that is fresh and healthy here. Using exotic fruits and vegetables and a selection of the best local produce, the chefs create simple fusion dishes and classic Sri Lankan curries which are full of flavour. Meals are served either in the main restaurant or by the pool at lunchtime, and dinners are relaxed and sociable; Wednesdays and Saturdays are curry nights, on Mondays and Fridays guests will be offered a seafood barbeque selection, and the rest of the week is a la carte.
Thanks to its prime location on the sandy shores of KK Beach, guests can relax in the sunshine and enjoy palm fringed ocean views from either the beach itself or the from sun loungers at the poolside. Cookery classes, yoga classes, snorkelling, bike rides through the neighbouring rice fields, fishing trips and whale watching tours can all also be arranged. Since the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Galle Fort is only 20 minutes away by tuk tuk guests are also well placed to enjoy a cultural tour or day out exploring the markets and bustling city life here.
We could never tire of the spectacular coastal views which stretch as far as the eye can see.
