As locations go, this is pretty special. Between two of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mahé, and overlooking the marine national park of Port Launay, Constance Ephelia is set in 300 acres of lush vegetation.
Ephelia is also one of the most interesting hotel openings in the Seychelles in recent years, as it is excellent for families and pretty good value compared to some of the eye-watering alternatives.
The Constance Kids Club is a multifunctional area comprising a games room and a dining area. It welcomes children from 4 to 11 years old between 0900 and 2200. Indoor and outdoor activities are organised daily as well as excursions. A daily program is proposed under supervision and children menus are available on request. Baby-sitting can be arranged on request (payable).
There are 268 suites and villas, all with the now seemingly obligatory WIFI, LCD TV, mac mini (iPod connection, CD & DVD) and pillow menu, but the villas also have their own private pools. There are five restaurants and an additional five bars to cater for every taste from those in need of an 'ethnic grill' (try the Adam & Eve restaurant) or a bar menu containing vintage aged rums (try the elegant Cyann bar). Elsewhere the U Spa by Constance is set in beautiful gardens and offering Shisheido treatments. Various activities are available, including tennis and squash, catamaran sailing or kayaking, and fishing and diving excursions and parents can indulge knowing their children will be well looked after at the excellent kids club.
