Set in an acacia grove on the banks of the Zambezi River near the confluence with the Chakwenga River, the camp accommodates only eight guests.
Each tent has been provided with en-suite facilities, flush loos, and canvas bucket showers and washbasins. The tents are left with open views during the day, and at night canvas drop-down blinds with windows are lowered to provide privacy and security. A traditional bush kitchen supplies meals and fresh bread baked daily from a homemade oven.
The Park offers excellent game-viewing throughout, with elephant, lion and buffalo activity west of Jeki, and Old Mondoro's area to the east known for frequent leopard and serval sightings, and more plains game such as zebra and kudu. There are also wild dog resident in the area. Also on offer are game drives (day & night), canoeing and game viewing by motorboat.

There are some excellent walking areas around the camp, or just a short drive away and the area is generally considered the best walking area in the Lower Zambezi
Chongwe River House is a spectacularly designed private house located on the banks of the Chongwe River, a tributary of the Zambezi.
The house sleeps up to eight guests and is booked on an exclusive basis. The entire house is built of ferro walls and wild wood.
The main dining/living room has low bridges over flowing water, and all the furniture was carved from a single huge winterthorn tree. The ground floor bedrooms are each entered through a tunnel which gives the feeling of walking through a cave. The bathrooms have water pouring out of the stone ceiling instead of normal shower heads, whilst the upstairs bathrooms have waterfall showers and bathtubs with views across the bush.
The house is set at the end of a large winterthorn grove, with views across the swimming pool and the river to the mountains beyond. Activities include day and night game drives in open safari vehicles, guided walking, canoeing safaris and boating. The Chongwe River also offers excellent tiger fish angling.

Bordering the famous Lower Zambezi National Park, Royal Zambezi Lodge has excellent fishing and wildlife viewing.
There are ten classic suites and four deluxe suites. The classic suites are furnished with contemporary, understated décor and have shady verandas, en-suite bathrooms, flush loos and large showers. The deluxe suites are more luxurious, with outside showers, copper baths, plunge pools and private salas overlooking the river - ideal for honeymoon couples.
There is excellent food prepared by the internationally acclaimed chef and also an infinity pool. Activities on offer include game drives, fishing trips, canoeing and river cruises.

Sausage Tree Camp is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, at the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, in Zambia.
Accommodation consists of eight Bedouin-style white canvas tents (including one larger unit for families), discreetly positioned along the riverbank and shaded by mature sausage and mahogany trees. Tents come with spacious beds, private open-air bathrooms and each has its own personal butler to attend to your every whim.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is renowned for its picturesque scenery and some of the finest game viewing anywhere on the continent. Game viewing is available by 4WD game drives (both day and night), canoe safari or on foot, all accompanied by knowledgeable and experienced guides. Wildlife includes (to name just a fraction of it) solid numbers of leopard, lion and hyena, plus waterbuck, wild dog, jackal and rich birdlife. Elephants can often be seen wading across the Zambezi to the Zimbabwean side.
Other activities include excellent sport fishing for tiger fish, and sundowner drinks on the river. The camp's chef prepares delicious three-course meals that are enjoyed under the African sky, to a chorus of hippopotami and croaking frogs.

The totally sleek Anabezi River lodge is located in the Zambezi National Park; this really is the place for a luxury African Safari.
The lodge is divided between two luxury camps; Anabezi which has eight rooms and Little Anabezi which has a select four, all of which are on slightly elevated platforms. Their tents are very spacious, with private lounges, double beds and either indoor or outdoor bathrooms. Guests also have their own verandas and plunge pools, providing a perfect setting for Zambezi river views.
At Anabezi guests can eat their dinner in a different spot each night. With the recruitment of a popular local chef the food promises to offer some gourmet specialities, be it on the riverside or on a candle lit veranda.
There are plenty of things for guests to do during their stay from canoeing and walking safaris to game drives and excellent fishing. The lodge even has its own vehicles and canoes so guests really do have the luxury of having their trips tailor made to what and when they would like them.
Guests should keep their eyes peeled during their stay for 500 species of bird, wildlife, the Zambezi river and flood plains, and even an elephant that may crop up outside your bedroom!
