Vida sol e Mar
Located in Southern Brazil, close to the trendy hotspot of Florianopolis, Vida sol e Mar is perched on a hillside overlooking a beautiful fresh water lagoon and the perfect surf beach.
This eco-resort has rooms and villas to rent on the shores of Brazil's wild coastline. This rustic property is fantastic for families with it's activities and close beach bars. The beach of Praia do Rosa is home to a surf school, run by Rodrigo who will teach you how to master the waves, or you can just watch from the large sweeping crescent of sand. Other activities include riding, boat trips and use of the tennis courts.
Vida Sol E Mar is actually within a natural conservation area, but fear not, there's no need to rough it: amongst its lodgings are some gorgeous new villas sleeping 2-10, all a short walk from the beach. Built from local rocks, each one resembles something from the ""Flintstones"" but inside they're far from primitive. All are stylishly designed with well chosen personal furnishings, mod cons and great views of the ocean.
As well as all this Vida E Sol Mar is renowned as one of the best whale watching places in a South America, along with its rustic but stylish accommodation, this eco-resort is just the ticket for active types, nature lovers and families.
Why We Love It
Famous for its whale watching from June to October, make sure you don't miss out!
Fasano Boa Vista
The newest member of the Fasano family is a contemporary fazenda (ranch) set in just under 2,500 acres of verdant farmland, about 60 miles north-west of Sao Paulo.
The 39 rooms are comprised of interconnecting bungalows and free standing villas, all of which have been given the 'Fasano touch' by architect Isay Weinfeld. The combination of a 1920's Italian style with contemporary Brazilian styling ensures that they are at once minimalist and warm.
Within the sprawling farmland are two eighteen-hole golf courses, an equestrian centre that includes polo grounds, and 14 lakes. Children's activities are also on offer, as well as a helicopter service.
If it is pure relaxation that is required - there is a huge infinity pool and spa.
The restaurant serves delicious locally sourced food, and if the other Fasano restaurants to go by, it will be superb.
Why We Love It
There are two 18 hole golf courses on site
