Built by an Italian navy merchant in 1856, this majestic lighthouse has long been the home of a couple of guards who keep watch over the ocean. The lighthouse has retained its maritime vocation, lighting up the waves every night as it did 150 years ago. But there is a twist: it’s now possible for travellers seeking true disconnection to call this unusual place home. Settle in for four nights in this beautiful lighthouse-turned-hotel. There are six elegant suites, four of which are small apartments nestled in the old cisterns.
There is also an infinity pool stretching into the horizon and an ancient olive grove in the garden. Nestled between prickly pears and bougainvillea is a charmingly-traditional inn that showcases the hospitality and beautiful customs of Sardinians.
