Phum Baitang is Khmer for 'green village', and that is exactly what design led Zannier hotels have set out to create. There are 45 spacious, stilted wooden villas, each with thatched roofs, dotted around the green gardens, sandwiched by verdant rice fields. The villas are constructed of local wood and stone, using traditional building techniques. Villa interiors are crafted with polished wooden floors, handmade wooden headboards, neutral coloured fabrics, and soft lighting. En suite bathrooms even feature hot tubs. The Terrace Villas offer a private garden and terrace, whilst the Pool Villas also offer a cooling plunge pool.

There are two restaurants at Phum Baitang; Bay Phsar offers a menu of Cambodian flavours and a local market style setting, where guests can select the very freshest local ingredients including rice harvested from the surrounding paddies, and Hang Bay, which offers international dishes, ranging from delicious seafood, to fine steaks. Guests can kick back for a pre or post dinner tipple at the colonial style Cigar and Cocktail Lounge, set within a 100 year old farmhouse, and furnished with oriental carpets.

After a day exploring the incredible Temples of Angkor, retreat to Phum Baitang's very own temple - an architectural tribute to Angkor, which houses the spa. Here, the spa therapists will massage away knots and stresses, using traditional techniques and natural products. The Spa Temple also houses a sauna, steam room, relaxation area, yoga pavilion and fitness room.

For the foodies, Phum Baitang can arrange private dining, or cookery classes, whilst families can make use of the kids club, where little ones will be entertained with arts & crafts, puzzles and even an Angkor discovery tour.

Located in the countryside near to Siem Reap, guests are within easy reach of the Angkor Museum, lively night market and great restauurants in Siem Reap town, as well as being just a short journey from the stunning Angkor complex.
