Zawadi Hotel sits atop a cliff in South East Zanzibar in a truly coveted location. Its tropical gardens are filled with coconut palms and lush vegetation, both of which create a relaxing environment to unwind in.
Only nine oceanfront villas make up the hotel, ensuring guests have privacy, and all have double beds, en-suite bathrooms and a terrace commanding breath-taking views of the Indian Ocean. A natural colour scheme runs throughout the rooms with white and cream tones being used to compliment the natural light. Access to the white sand beach and lagoon is easily available from all nine villas too.
Dining at Zawadi is all inclusive and seafood, spices and fresh produce can be enjoyed at the Drift Wood Dining Room where both dinner and breakfast is served daily. The Mswakini Bar is the perfect place to grab a light snack, whilst the Mali Mali Lounge and Bar is the place to be for a pre-dinner cocktail.
Thai and Balinese therapists are on hand to provide private massages in your villa for ultimate relaxation and the pool offers a cooling break. If you're eager to fit in a workout the hotel's taken the approach that being stuck inside a gym on holiday isn't desired (hear, hear!), as such they've built an outdoor Nature Gym consisting of a 900m jogging trail dotted with monkey bars, chin up bars and the like! There's also a free shuttle service available to Zawadi's sister hotels to use their facilities. These include tennis courts and a relaxing spa.
Due to its unique location there's always water in front of Zawadi making it the perfect snorkel spot (this is a luxury you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere on Zanzibar with the sea being so tidal). For the divers, local 5* Rising Sun Dive Centre runs dives daily and caters for all abilities. For the explorers, Mangrove Forest lies 10 minutes away and is brimming with wildlife and for the culture vultures Stone Town tours give an insight into Zanzibar's history.
