Lake Manze Camp is located in the Selous Game Reserve on the shores of Lake Manze. Throughout both the dry and wet seasons the game is abundant.
The camp has gone for a particular look and feel - that of comfortable simplicity, and with very competitive rates as a result. It is the only lodge which has opted not to have any electricity - producing a magical atmosphere, and especially in the evening when the light of the storm lanterns and natural chatter of humans and animals are all that fill the air.
Each tent has an en suite bathroom with flush loo and hot shower and with twin or double beds. The tents are spacious with a comfortable veranda from which to watch the animals passing by. Lunch is a casual affair, and there is often game wandering by. Supper either takes place in the thatched dining area or outside under the stars by a campfire.
Game drives are carried out in 4x4 vehicles. The drives are not limited to a specific schedule and are tailormade to specific wishes. Boat safaris out in the calm waters of the lake and early morning walking safaris are also available and the latter is a wonderfully rewarding way to witness the true beauty of the Selous. There is so much to explore, from islands in the middle of the Rufiji river to the shores of one of the many other lakes and the many dry sand rivers.
