Traditional rustic charm and warm African hospitality welcome guests to Loisaba Star Beds. In the heart of the Loisaba Conservancy this is a very intimate lodge with very big views.
Housing just four thatched rooms, guests at Loisaba Star Beds can expect the utmost in exclusivity and unspoilt views. The unique selling point here though is certainly the feature beds; all of which are hand crafted four posters, on wheels. Step out of your cosy seating area, take a shower in your open air en suite bathroom and then curl up to sleep on the raised terrace outside your room, where you'll find your bed has been carefully positioned under the African night sky. There aren't many experiences more spellbinding than this.
In keeping with the traditional African décor and commitment to authentic experience, dinner at Loisaba Star Beds is taken communally in the lounge area, and consists of delicious home cooked African cuisine. Afterwards guests are encouraged to linger around the roaring fire, sip a drink or two and share their tales from the day.
Following a welcome from a team of traditional Samburu & Laikipiak Maasai warriors, a stay at Loisaba Star Beds immerses guests in the stunning surrounding landscape. With over 260 species of birds, elephant, buffalo, zebra, kudu and even the rare wild dog, getting out to spot wildlife on a game drive or guided walk is a must. For those looking to change things up a little you could also try a camel or horse riding safari, or opt to mountain bike through the area. Aside the stunning landscapes and varied wildlife, Loisaba works closely with the local Samburu and Laikipiak Maasai tribes - as you'll see first-hand from your unique welcoming - and so guests are also able to spend an afternoon at a local Maasai village for a great cultural experience.
