We had a lot of helpful guidance for a trip to a country we had never visited. It was the SS Sudan that was the reason for the trip and Egypt was incidental! The ship certainly has the WOW Factor. However, of course, Egypt’s Tombs and Temples are magnificent and Mustafa, our guide, made them come to life. Fatma was great at the Nubian Museum too and we got a good sense of Nubian life from her having lived in a Nubian village all her life. Ahmed at Luxor was a delight and a surprise to see at the Passport Control and looked after us well until we alighted the SS Sudan. Mina at Aswan went above and beyond. Even arranged a boat and escorted us to our Apertif treat at the Cataract Hotel and got us a boat to get back to the hotel. Our consultant was Lucy and we had great faith in her, she did a good job. The highlight, of course, was SS Sudan. A breathtaking ship. All crew, food, half days spent reading on the ship. Everything happened like clockwork, we never had to wait or wonder what was happening. I loved the early morning starts driving through country villages waking up and seeing the children going to school and the bread coming out of the ovens. Overall, you provided us with a holiday with amazing memories. We look forward to another trip with Original Travel in the future.

James - thank you. We had a truly wonderful and memorable trip. Everything that Original Travel had a hand in was perfect. Our time at Lewa was perfect and Sirikoi is very special. Sarara was also great and we loved the Samburu experience. Kinondo Kwetu is also a special place. I was not expecting the food to be a highlight, but it was a revelation. We will go back to Kenya. We will go back to Sirikoi. We will probably go back to Sarara. We are properly happy punters. James and Team – thank you.

Everything was absolutely pitch perfect - it really could not have been improved upon! It was a magical experience. The time spent with various Samburu men & women was incredibly interesting. I really appreciated the fact that all three places were either set up for / run by / contributing to & therefore truly part of the local community - it really showed. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh & wonderful, as were ALL the staff & guides. I cannot wait to go back! Thank you to James & all the team at Original Travel.

Lovely itinerary, and it was good to know the Concierge was there if we really needed it. There were many memorable moments like Mysuru Palace lights, leopards in the safari park and the food!

We had some lovely guides on our day trips and some great drivers. The fast track at the airport in Tangiers was great, too! There were quite a few memorable moments — Chefchaouen was amazing, with all the tones of blue, and the road trip to Fez, with the scenery so different from what we expected. Overall we had an amazing trip.

The Alila was just amazing. As was staying in the desert. These two places made it a truly memorable experience. Everyone was very friendly and happy to talk to us about life in Oman. And the food was absolutely delicious! There were lots of memorable moments.

A highlight was obviously seeing the animals in the Galapagos in their natural habitat. The water in Costa Rica was beautiful and warm, and I thoroughly enjoyed the surfing lessons!

We had a wonderful experience in Egypt. We wish to thank you for all the arrangements. Cruise on the Nile on the Steamship Sudan was the best part. The view, atmosphere, smooth cruise and relaxing time was more than expected. Your arranging the Lady Duff Gordon suite for us was much appreciated. The staff on the steamship was very agreeable. Of the guides, David in Cairo has our praise. Not only knowledgeable, but kind and a very warm personality. All in all, I have high appreciation of your professionalism. Thank you again, James, for all your kindness and professional work.

We had the most amazing time. I think we had very high expectations at the start and they were comfortably met and exceeded throughout. A big thank you to you and your colleagues who were all fully committed to helping us get the most from our trip. The experience on the SS Sudan was exceptional. We were extremely happy with our room and, on consideration, preferred the period ambiance of our room to the more modern suites we saw. The service on board was exemplary. We felt extremely secure with all the staff, guides and representatives taking great care to ensure our safety. As a result we could really enjoy every moment to the full and were most definitely made to feel special and well looked after throughout. Our trip to Abu Simbel was well worth the drive and we were particularly taken with our guide Rasha on this excursion. She really listened carefully to our questions, and gave us clear relevant answers. Her command of English was particularly outstanding which helped enormously. Houda also covered an immense amount of ground in Cairo and helped us get the most out of our visits especially in the Cairo Museum. We have been so delighted with our experience with Original Travel I feel sure that we would be likely to book another holiday with you. Thanks again. This has been our best holiday ever.
