The hotel has an interesting design, with a unique blend of rural Americana with contemporary luxury. Pastel clapboard cottages feature large private terraces, fenced in with polished corrugated iron in a nod to the rural setting, whilst maintaining the facilities of a modern boutique hotel through luxurious bedding, modern entertainment systems and heated slate flooring in bathrooms. The private terraces come complete with rocking chairs from which to while away the hours with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and a golden Californian sunset.

Suites are simply two Cottages, connected through a larger private outdoor living space, whilst the private Carneros Courtyard homes are perfect for larger groups and families, with two ensuite master suites plus a 'den' (which can become bedroom #3), kitchen and dining room, and an upper level sundeck.

Carneros offers guests a wealth of dining options, from elegant farm-to-table fine dining in FARM restaurant, to a more low key option at Boon Fly Café, where the team serve rustic American cuisine in a contemporary roadhouse setting. The Hilltop Dining Room is reserved for in house guests, in-cottage and private dining is also available, whilst guests can pick up fresh picnic ingredients, gourmet treats and boutique wines at Market.

Just in case the peaceful rural setting, delicious food, boutique wines and stunning sunsets aren't enough to send guests into an idyllic lull, the Spa at the Carneros Inn is sure to be the remedy. The spa offers a range of relaxing treatments, sauna, eucalyptus steam room, private yoga classes and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, whilst two swimming pools - Otto's pool for families and fitness, and the adults only Hilltop pool - provide plenty of al fresco lounging space.

Why we love it

The farm-to-table mixology class is our kind of gourmet Napa experience. Forage the hotel gardens and orchards for ingredients to create your very own signature cocktail blend which you'll create under the expert guidance of the FARM restaurants lead bartender.

Farmhouse Inn

Farmhouse Inn

Located in Sonoma County, this intimate family-run property started out as a humble B&B, and retains that personal feel. Though there's nothing humble about the accommodation, which in true Ralph Lauren fashion has taken an English look and done it better than the original.

Exterior at Kenwood Inn, luxury hotel in Napa & Sonoma Valley

Kenwood Inn

Located in the Valley of the Moon and surrounded by vineyards, oak trees and fruit trees, guests would be forgiven for thinking they’d gone to sleep in America and woken up in the Tuscan foothills, such is the Italian villa feel to Kenwood, and the Apennine Mountain-like scenery from the bedroom windows.

Milliken Creek Inn and Spa

Tucked in the heart of California’s renowned wine country, set beside the scenic Silverado Trail on the grassy banks of the Napa river sits this hidden beauty, perfect for those seeking a combination of wine tasting and relaxation.
