GET LOST IN MOROCCO…

Morocco in North Africa is a fascinating place, full of history and culture, and is still warm enough to visit in October half term. Marrakech in particular, the country's' buzzing capital, provides many sights and attractions to suit all ages. Wander round the many little streets where you can find traditional souqs, full of brightly coloured carpets, the strong smell of spices and many handmade souvenir items. The snow-capped Atlas Mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to Marrakech, where life revolves around the Djemaa el-Fna square with its fire-eaters and snake charmers by day and its delicious food stalls, musicians and acrobats by dusk, bound to thrill you and your family. Beyond the mountain range, you can hire a 4x4 and drive along the breath taking Sahara desert, an almost forgotten area of Marrakech. If this hasn't convinced you, perhaps the fact that it's just over three hours away will. Morocco is quite simply the most exotic destination in easy reach of the UK!

DISCOVER SOMETHING NEW IN VIETNAM…

The next of our October half term holidays abroad is to beautiful Vietnam, now one of the most appealing destinations in South-East Asia, where you can experience culinary delights, good weather, fascinating festivals and breath-taking mountainous views. There is so much to see and do to suit all ages, however our 'must sees' include the Mekong delta in the south; more than 2,000 miles of coastline, endowed with some beautiful beaches; where you can cruise through the floating markets and see huge quantities of produce such as fruit, vegetables and catfish. Also in this area lie cities such as Hanoi,Hue and Ho Chi Minh City, where you can find numerous temples, historic buildings and French colonial architecture.

BE AMAZED IN DUBAI…

The tiny emirate of Dubai in the Middle East is a great spot to get away in October half term, and is within reasonable flying distance of the UK. Good is weather guaranteed, so why not relax on one of the pristine beaches and take a dip in the lovely warm sea? As well as amazing hotels, contemporary Dubai has a number of spectacular skyscrapers, including the world's tallest building. Things to see and do around here include wandering through the gold and spice souqs, a visit to the beautifully restored Al Fahidi fort and getting a sense of what Dubai used to be like at the Heritage and Diving Village. Modern Dubai provides a range of attractions, from water sports, golf and tennis to international sporting events such as horse racing's World Cup. Dubai's legendary shopping ranges from traditional Arabic souqs to breathtaking malls, where the choice (and price) of products are second to none. If you're after some adventure, head out of Dubai into the desert and visit the Bab al Sams oasis, an Arabian fortress style resort providing many desert activities for all the family!
