In the heart of the Maori spiritual home of Rotorua, Treetops Lodge and Estate is a delightful haven of peace and relaxation. Surrounded by forest with valley and lake views, the Lodge is equally welcoming of honeymooning couples as of families.

Lodge rooms consist of four suites with a central living and dining area, and are ideal for families travelling together. A Family Retreat and the owner's Pheasant Cottage are also good choices for larger parties, each with a separate lounge, kitchen and dining area. Chefs and cottage assistants are available on request. Treetops also offers a series of secluded villas with open fireplace, kitchenette and en suite with spa bath. The spa itself contains individual and couples' hot tubs, a meditation area and offers indigenous treatments.

Breakfast can be taken either in your accommodation or in a sun-filled conservatory and complimentary refreshments and home-made biscuits are available throughout the day. Dinner in the lodge is preceded by drinks and canapés, giving guests a moment to socialise together. An enjoyable addition to the dining experience is being able to select which vegetables from the garden are to be served that evening.

Days can be filled with a variety of different activities, from the more common hiking and fishing to more unusual pursuits such as archery and deer hunting. Treetops caters to all ages, offering more child-friendly activities such as Maori flax-weaving and geo-caching. In the nearby area there are beaches, hot springs and a golf course.
