Explore Australasia and beyond on this 24-day adventure, from buzzing cities, towering skyscrapers and upscale dining to geothermal wonders, rocky landscapes and sandy shores.

Your globetrotting adventure kicks off in Dubai, where you’ll have a couple of days to explore this exhilarating city’s futuristic skyscrapers, fine dining, world-class shopping malls, traditional souqs and rich heritage.

Next up is feel-good Sydney. After checking out its famous landmarks, like Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach, head to the iconic monolith of Uluru, the spiritual heartland of Aboriginal culture.

After another overnight stay in Sydney, head to Auckland in New Zealand’s North Island (and discover why it’s called the ‘City of Sails’), then pick up a hire car and drive south to Rotorua – the land of natural hot springs, bubbling mud pools and volcanic lakes.

French Polynesia is the next destination: first Tahiti, followed by an island hop to Bora Bora. Both islands are equally dreamy – think tropical beaches, turquoise lagoons, majestic mountains and thundering waterfalls.

Your final stop is Los Angeles for a fun-filled stay to discover its culture, art scene, beach life and celebrity neighbourhoods.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Your globetrotting adventure starts today, so head to the airport for your seven-hour flight to Dubai. When you land, a private driver will transfer you to your central hotel, where you’ll be staying for the next couple of nights.

This former pearl-diving village has been transformed into an intoxicating city, with glitz and glamour ranging from the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, to trendy shopping malls and edgy art galleries. It’ll likely be evening by the time you arrive, so either enjoy a meal at the hotel restaurant before heading up to bed, ready for the real exploring to begin tomorrow.

Don’t forget your camera this morning, because you’re going to the mega-tall Burj Khalifa skyscraper for some spectacular views over the city. Rising to 2,716ft (just over half a mile), this iconic building is a masterful blend of art and engineering, home to offices, private residences, a hotel and three stunning observation decks on the 124th floor.

Once you’ve been suitably wowed, enjoy a delicious lunch among the clouds at the elegant At.mosphere restaurant, the highest in the world. Once you’re suitably stuffed, feel free to explore – art buffs might spot the work of their favourite creatives, with more than 1,000 pieces by international and Middle Eastern artists displayed throughout the building.

This afternoon is free for you to soak up the atmosphere of old Dubai, whether you’d rather stroll the bustling souqs selling gold, textiles and aromatic spices, visit the historic Al Fahidi and Shindagha districts or get a culture fix at one of Dubai’s awe-inspiring mosques.

Wave goodbye to Dubai, as this morning, you’re flying to Sydney for a three-night stay. After being privately transferred to the airport, board your overnight flight, which takes just under 14 hours.

When you land the next morning, a private driver will be waiting to whisk you to your centrally located hotel. Sydney is around six hours ahead of Dubai, so you’ll be there bright and early to settle in, enjoy some R&R around the pool or head out to explore the neighbourhood.

You’ve got two days to explore this feel-good city, so to kick things off, we’ve arranged a guided tour with a clued-up local. As you stroll the sunny streets, your guide will tailor the experience to your interests and share insider tips on must-see places.

The rest of your time is yours for the taking. You could catch a ferry from Circular Quay that glides past Sydney Opera House for postcard-worthy views from the water, stroll along the famous Bondi Beach and try your hand at surfing (or just stop to watch experienced locals ride the waves).

Feeling hungry yet? Visit Sydney Fish Market, where fish sales, waterfront dining and Australia’s leading cooking school all sit under one roof. More of a culture vulture? Wander through the peaceful Royal Botanic Gardens, Australia's oldest scientific institution, or stop at the Museum of Contemporary Art for works by numerous acclaimed artists.

When evening falls, check out the buzzy restaurant and bar scene, from creative fine dining restaurants to cool neighbourhood eateries.

Australia’s iconic Uluru, once known as Ayers Rock, is on today’s agenda. This morning, you’ll be privately transferred to the airport for your domestic flight, which takes around three and a half hours.

When you land, pick up your hire car and make the short drive to your hotel for a two-night stay. Your base is perfectly located for admiring the beautiful Uluru monolith, but if you’re after a different perspective, we can also arrange a helicopter ride for a bird’s-eye view over this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Throughout the day, Uluru shifts in colour from ochre-brown and burnished red to charcoal as night falls, so settle in to watch the shifting light and shadows at sunrise and sunset. We can also arrange a helicopter ride above Uluru for a bird’s eye view.

A must-see is the Field of Light art installation by internationally celebrated artist Bruce Munro – at night, the desert is illuminated with 50,000 glowing spheres to create a fantasy garden.

Rise bright and early this morning to watch the shifting light and shadows as the sun rises over the Olgas Mountains. After a lazy breakfast, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace, whether you’d rather head out to snap some shots of the monolith or relax at your hotel.

Come evening, we’ve nabbed you tickets for the must-see Field of Light art installation, created by internationally celebrated artist Bruce Munro. Head into the desert at night and marvel as the imposing monolith and surrounding sand are illuminated by 50,000 glowing spheres, creating a fantasy garden.

After waking to a sunrise view of Uluru, blazing red under the morning sky, sip one last coffee before driving back to the airport and dropping off your hire car. Catch your three-hour flight to Sydney and enjoy one last evening in the city, with an overnight stay in the same hotel as last time.

It’s time for the next stop on your Australasian adventure: Auckland. This morning, you’ll be privately transferred to the airport for your three-hour flight to New Zealand and, on landing, whisked to your hotel for a two-night stay.

The next two days are yours to explore. Auckland is known as the ‘City of Sails’, so the New Zealand Maritime Museum is a great place to start – as you wander through the museum, its exhibits trace the city’s seafaring history, from Maori voyaging canoes to modern-day triumphs in the America’s Cup international yacht race.

Keen rugby fan? Visit Eden Park, the national stadium, for a behind-the-scenes tour. Prefer nature? Make a beeline for New Zealand’s oldest park, Auckland Domain, marvel at the Wintergardens’ 1920s glasshouses or even climb up Mount Victoria for panoramic views.

Come evening, check out the street art, independent shops and bookstores on vibrant Karangahape Road or head to Viaduct Harbour for upscale dining and a view of the superyachts sailing by.

Today, you’re swapping city life for three nights in Rotorua, famous for its bubbling mud pools, natural hot springs, shooting geysers and vibrant Maori culture. Pick up your hire car for the drive, which takes just under three hours, then check into your charming colonial-style house.

Once you’ve spent some time settling in, head out to explore the city. Stroll through sprawling green spaces, soak up views over Lake Rotorua and enjoy a tasty dinner – our clued-up Concierge is on-hand to recommend the best restaurants in town.

The next few days are all about diving into Rotorua’s nature and culture. On one of the days, we’ve arranged for you to go to the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, a spectacular geothermal park known for its colourful geysers. Highlights here include the largest mud pool in New Zealand and the Lady Knox Geyser, which erupts daily to heights of over 65ft.

While you’re here, you’ll also visit Waimangu Volcanic Valley, where hiking trails weave through an otherworldly landscape – don’t miss the beautiful Pink and White Silica Terraces, Frying Pan Lake (the world’s largest hot spring) and Inferno Crater Lake with its steaming, aqua-blue waters.

Back in town, stroll around the historic Government Gardens, check out a traditional Maori dance performance and feast on a hangi dinner, where food is steamed for hours in an earth oven.

Dreamy tropical beaches, turquoise lagoons and majestic mountains await. Today, you’re embarking on the next leg of your trip: French Polynesia.

Drive back to Auckland, drop off your hire car at the airport and board your flight to Tahiti, which takes around five hours (and, with the time difference, sees you going back one day on the calendar). On landing, you’ll be privately transferred to your hotel, set just outside the island’s – and French Polynesia’s – capital, Papeete.

The next two days are all yours – whether it’s soaking up the atmosphere at the lively local market, enjoying firi firi (Tahitian donuts), diving to see dazzling marine life or dozing on a sunlounger.

We’ve also arranged a thrilling guided tour of the Papenoo Valley in a comfortable 4x4. Flanked by misty mountains, stop at thundering waterfalls, take dips in natural pools, examine flora and fauna and learn about the history and legends of the area.

Rise and shine, because magical Bora Bora is your destination for the next few days. You’ll be privately transferred to the airport for a quick island hop – it’s only a 50-minute flight – and, on landing, driven to your luxe overwater bungalow in an exclusive retreat.

From your terrace, unwind above the turquoise lagoon waters and soak up the panoramic views over Mount Otemanu (an extinct volcano) and the islands of Raiatea and Tahaa.

It’s easy to stay put in this idyllic place (especially with an ice-cold cocktail or a good book), but we’ve also arranged a private boat trip to search for blacktip sharks, swim alongside majestic manta rays and explore the dazzling underwater world of Toopua Nui.

Located to the west of Bora Bora, the crystal clear waters of this snorkelling site are home to leopard rays, stingrays, clownfish and a beautiful coral garden.

Say goodbye to island life today – the bright lights of Los Angeles are calling. After a private transfer to the airport, settle in for your overnight flight, which will take around eight hours (including a connecting flight from Papeete). When you arrive, pick up your hire car and check into your sleek hotel for a two-night stay.

The ‘City of Angels’ is a playground for the rich and famous. Explore celebrity neighbourhoods like Beverly Hills and Bel-Air, stroll the Walk of Fame, then hike to the Griffith Observatory to soak up the views. Fancy hitting the sand? Check out Venice and Santa Monica Beach, or head to scenic Malibu, where it’s less crowded.

In downtown LA, catch a Lakers basketball game or check out the Arts District’s creative scene, home to murals by acclaimed street artist Shepard Fairey and the international Hauser & Wirth gallery. Come evening, dine on classic American fare and toast to memories of a fantastic holiday.

Sadly, it’s time to pack away the memories of your globetrotting adventures and embark on the journey home. After one last delicious breakfast at the hotel and wander around the neighbourhood, you’ll be taken in a private transfer to the airport.

Your overnight flight to the UK is around 11-and-a-half hours, leaving plenty of time to scroll through your holiday snaps and dream of your next escape.
