Zarafa Camp is located on the fringes of Zibadianja Lagoon in northern Botswana’s 320,000 acre Selinda Reserve.
There is a tasteful balance at Zarafa with four spacious "marquis" style tents evoking the atmosphere of an original 1920's safari. No attention to detail is spared, and yet Zarafa's blend of sustainable beliefs and dedicated appreciation for the finest detail make it one of Africa's leading environmentally friendly luxury camp.
Each 1,100 square foot tent has a separate bedroom and lounge, with an en-suite bathroom complete with a deep copper bath. Indoor and outdoor showers and a private pool create a relaxing atmosphere. The tents are perfect not only for those seeking an exclusive experience but also for small groups or families that wish to book an entire private camp. An added bonus is that each of the tents has a professional camera and lenses for each guest's complimentary use and enjoyment.
New in 2014, the Zarafa Dhow Suite opened to much acclaim as a standalone option set some way from the main camp. Coming in at a whopping 2,260 square foot and under a huge canvas roof, the Dhow Suites cater for groups of four adults plus one child (or two adults and three children) in a two storey building with a pool and verandah offering views of the nearby lagoon. The Dhow Suites come with a private chef, manager, 4x4 game viewing vehicle and guide.
Activities from the camp and suites include early morning, late afternoon and evening game drives, guided walks and boating on the Zibadianja Lagoon.
Zarafa's wildlife experience is enhanced by the perennial waters of the Selinda Spillway, Linyanti Marshes and Zibadianja Lagoon - offering arguably the most diverse and scenically captivating locations in the region.
