If a child under 17 is travelling with just one parent, a guardian or alone, they must carry written authorisation from any non-travelling parent and an original birth certificate, or they may have difficulty leaving Chile at the end of their visit.
Those planning to visit Rapa Nui (Easter Island) must complete an entry form, show a return ticket and provide either a reservation registered with SERNATUR, the national tourism service, or an invitation letter from the provincial delegation.
