- The Mekong River is about 2,703 miles long, making it the twelfth longest river in the world and the seventh longest in Asia
- Cambodia is the only country to feature a building (Angkor Wat) on its flag
- Tonlé Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. It is also the only river in the world that flows in both directions depending on the season
- There are over 4,000 temples in Cambodia, most of which are located at Siem Reap (like the mighty Angkor Wat), Battambang, Preah Vihar and Kampong Thom. There are many more that haven’t been discovered yet too
- Speaking of unchartered territory, there are believed to be over four and six million landmines still active across the country
