Having been declared a monument of cultural interest by the Colombian Ministry of Culture, and nestled amidst the ever increasing horizon of skyscrapers of Bogota, the characterful and chic Four Seasons Casa Medina is a welcome addition to the cities luxury hotel scene.
Ollie is here to help give you the inside track.
All 62 of the rooms and suites are elegant, decorated in neutral shades, and furnished with dark wood fixtures, and sumptuous leather armchairs to sink back into. All guestrooms feature marble en suites and indulgent amenities, as well as Nespresso machines, to start the day with a cup of the nations finest.
The hotel restaurant, Castanyoles Raciones y Tapas, serves tapas, among other gourmet delights. The outdoor courtyard is a serene setting to dine, or for those who like a little buzz with their albondigas, the sidewalk setting is a great spot to dine. The Castanyoles Cafe also offers takeaway options, and there is a 24 hour in room dining service, too.
The intimate spa at the Four Seasons Casa Medina is the place to let the stresses and strains of daily life melt away, with a range of therapeutic treatments to relax and rejuvenate. There is also a gym for the more active guest, and bicycles on hand to whizz around the city.
The surrounding area of Bogota is a vibrant place, and Zone G, where the hotel is located, is a real foodie hub. Some of the must-see sights in the city include the imposing Mount Monserrate, the Gold Museum, the Botanical Gardens as well as Bogota's 'old town', La Candelaria.
Why we love it
