Itinerary Highlights

  • The Bay of Islands - 3 Days
While it's undoubtedly a long old journey to get there, the flight will be a distant memory once you're settled into a villa at Eagles Nest in the Bay of Islands. Picture access to a private beach, chefs available to cater to guests every gastronomic whim and blissful days spent sailing around the bay's 144 islands by private catamaran - we've included a half day private catamaran charter for you during the stay. You'll also enjoy a private 'chefs choice' five course tasting menu during your stay, prepared and enjoyed in your private villa.

If you happen to be there on a Saturday, head to The Old Packhouse Market or Bay of Islands Farmers Market to browse and buy a range of award winning local produce and experience a delicious New Zealand style brunch.

  • Hawke's Bay - 2 days
One of New Zealand's finest wine regions is a must-stop for any keen epicurean. Stay in a luxurious suite at Cape Kidnappers and indulge in daily-changing menus crafted from the farm's own produce, paired with fine wines. The included scenic helicopter flight over the vineyards and orchards is the perfect way to source your preferred tipple during your stay.

  • Marlborough Sounds - 3 days
Crossing to South Island, the first stop should be The Bay of Many Coves, a beautiful resort only accessible by boat. This is the sunniest region in New Zealand so days are best spent enjoying the great outdoors, exploring the Queen Charlotte Track on foot or swimming with pods of dusky dolphins. For dinner, The Foredeck Restaurant provides a wonderfully romantic setting to enjoy award winning cuisine such as Marlborough Greenshell Mussels, alongside the iconic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

  • Christchurch - 2 Days
Just an hour's drive (or a 15 minute helicopter flight) from charming Christchurch lies Annandale, a working farm unlike any other thanks to four super-luxurious and completely secluded villas, each at least a 30 minute drive apart for guaranteed splendid isolation.

Explore the coast by kayak, foraging for kaimoana (seafood) as you go, take a scenic heli-flight to a North Canterbury vineyard or indulge in an in-villa spa treatment. And, speaking of indulgence, food is at the heart of the Annandale experience. We'll arrange for a gourmet picnic hamper, best enjoyed on a secluded clifftop, as well as having the chef prepare a delectable tasting menu for dinner. You may also like to learn from the masters with a private cookery class.

  • Queenstown - 3 Days
Known as the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown is the perfect spot to burn off calories from two weeks of foodie excess. Beautiful Blanket Bay sits on the shores of Lake Wakatipu at the edge of the remarkable alpine wilderness, but just 30 minutes' drive from Queenstown.

During your stay we've planned a Jet boat tour along rivers in the Mount Aspiring National Park, passing snow-capped peaks and cascading waterfalls, before returning to Blanket Bay for a serene aromatherapy massage overlooking Lake Wakatipu; a horseback ride to explore the 4,000+ hectares around Blanket Bay before a private dinner in Blanket Bay's intimate Wine Cave; and end the trip on a (literal) high with a helicopter flight over the stunning fjords.

A rough idea of price

A similar itinerary would cost in the region of £12,900 per person which includes all flights, luxury lodges, daily breakfast, a host of gourmet activities and private dinners, helicopter trips and transfers.

A note about prices

The guide prices shown are designed to provide you with a broad indication of how much to budget for your trip. Prices are generally for private arrangements using economy flights based on two people travelling together and sharing a room. There are a number of factors which will influence the price; these include the standard of accommodation, the season, the class of flights, the airline used and the level of private guiding versus shared excursions.
