Little Kwara Camp is situated on a tree-covered island in a private concession sharing a boundary with the Moremi Game Reserve.
The camp itself is an intimate affair with just five tents and offering a high level of personal service. The spacious tents are on elevated wooden decks in the tree canopy, all with their own private verandas. Each tent has its own en-suite facilities with baths and inside/outside showers.
The Little Kwara is surrounded by interesting and varied scenery including a labyrinth of waterways, islands, seasonal flood plains and bush, and activities at Little Kwara Camp include double-deck boat cruises, island walks as well as game drives both off road and at night where every vehicle has its own guide and tracking system. Fishing is also available on request, using normal reel and rod fishing, but fly-fishing enthusiasts need to bring their own equipment.
The highlight of any stay, however, is a morning guided mokoro dugout canoe trip through the channels surrounding the camp in search of hippos, elephants and fish eagles. Part way through the excursion the canoes moor up on an island where guests can rest in the shade of the large trees while surveying the surrounding delta waters and lagoons. After drinks the guide leads a walking safari on the island before a relaxing return to camp by mokoro.
The camp is on the edge of the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta, so mokoro dugout canoe safaris are available year round.
