Ecuador Passport & Visa Requirements

Ecuador Visa Information

British citizens do not need a visa to visit Ecuador.

Passport Validity for Ecuador Travel

Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival in the country. You can check with the embassy for more travel information.

Other Information

Health insurance is required for the duration of time you are in Ecuador and all visitors need to carry documentation as proof, which may be requested by immigration on arrival.

As of the 12th May 2025, all travellers who have spent more than ten days in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia or Brazil directly prior to their arrival in Ecuador, or who are nationals or residents in these countries, will be required to present an International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever. You must have received the yellow fever vaccine at least ten days before arrival in Ecuador (one dose of the vaccine is now considered valid for life, and prior certificates will be accepted). This certificate will be requested before boarding any flight or transport to Ecuador (via air, land or sea) and may also be requested again upon arrival.
