While Split is compact enough to be explored on foot, drive a little further out of the city and you’ll find yourself in the beautiful Krka National Park. Take the gentle walk around the main waterfalls and sights of the park, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way, or opt for one of the additional boat tours to see more of this vast lush park. After exploring the city and the surrounds, hop on a ferry to the nearby islands. Whether you choose Brac, Hvar, or some of the smaller Dalmatian Islands, you’re in for a treat. Beaches, old towns and seaside villages are waiting to be explored on foot, bicycle or car, and you can enjoy a day trip or turn it into a longer adventure with an overnight stay.
