Ollie is here to help give you the inside track.

The Peak 2 Peak gondola spans nearly three miles between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, in the process making it both the longest and the highest gondola lift in the world.

Thanks to Peak 2 Peak skiers can now combine both the Blackcomb and Whistler ski areas during winter, while in summer the 30-odd miles of trekking trails criss-crossing both mountains are also much more accessible as a result of this record breaker.

Needless to say the views from the gondolas are spectacular but if you want a closer a look at this marvel of engineering, take a peak at the Peak to Peak Viewing Gallery, a raised walkway that gives you the opportunity to see the gondola's engineering and inner workings.

Why We Love It

Fan of a statistic or two? The trip takes 11 minutes, the highest point is 1,427ft (so not necessarily advisable for vertigo sufferers), Peak 2 Peak can transport 4100 people an hour and has the world’s longest unsupported span for a gondola – a mere 1.88miles.
