On the edge of the wildlife rich Dudhwa National Park, Jaagir Lodge is a charming property, full of old world charm and elegance.
In the main building there are three Luxury Rooms and four Luxury Suites, and in the gardens two standalone thatched Luxury Villas. The rooms and suites are tastefully decorated in a more traditional style, with polished dark wood furniture and colourful linens, while the villas are lighter and more airy with whitewashed brick walls and neutral colour schemes. The villas are also much bigger, with two double beds and a lounge area, making them suitable for a family.
The chefs at Jaagir Lodge take pride in serving fresh locally inspired cuisine, with fruits and vegetables from their own gardens. Their ever changing creations can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room or outside, overlooking the sugar cane fields and high grasslands with a backdrop of beautiful bird song.
Stays at Jaagir Lodge are largely about the wildlife experiences. While on safari style game drives into Dudhwa National Park and the surrounding Terai area guests can expect to see tigers, pythons, elephants, fishing cats and Terai langurs, among more. With expert onsite naturalists and guides to track the wildlife and introduce you to the unique landscapes and flora, this hidden region of India will really come to life.
Aside from wildlife spotting, guests can also enjoy cycling excursions, visit The Frog Temple of Oel, meet local villagers, or go birdwatching along the Sharada River.
Still something of a hidden gem, Dudhwa National Park is one of our favourite destinations for wildlife spotting in India.
