At the risk of getting all profound, seeing how other cultures make sense of the stresses and strains of every day existence and celebrate the good things in life can be a thoroughly life affirming experience. We humans have come up with a bewildering range of answers to the big questions, and one of travel's greatest pleasures is seeing those answers - be they religious, traditional or even gastronomical - played out in their natural habitats.
