Slovenia Luxury Holidays

This picture perfect and pocket-sized destination might not be the obvious choice for a super-swanky trip, but luxury Slovenia holidays can be an understated gem, rather like their host country. Start with a luxurious stay in the capital Ljubljana, a lovely blend of Mediterranean and Mitteleuropean, and then Slovenia is your oyster, because pretty much all the (also pretty) corners of the country are within a two- or three-hour drive. Must-dos include visiting the church on the island in Lake Bled, and then spending days with a private guide walking the trails through the beautiful Julian Alps in Triglav National Park. Then head south to the slither of Adriatic coastline that constitutes the Slovenian Riviera and take time en route back to the capital to swing by the Littoral wine growing region to sample some of the country’s under-rated vintages.
