British citizens do not need a visa to go in holiday in Portugal if spending less than 90 days there in any 180-day period.
Passport Validity for Portugal Travel
Your passport should be valid for the entirety of your stay. It must also have a ‘date of issue’ of less than ten years before your arrival date, and an ‘expiry date’ of at least three months after the day you plan to leave.
Other Key Entry Information
At Portuguese border control, you may need to show an onward or return ticket and/or proof you have enough money for the duration of your stay.
Portugal has implemented the EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES), which involves registering your biometric details on arrival.
