Immerse yourself in culture in the country's capital, Ljubljana; enjoy the lovely lakes in Bled and Bohinj; travel through Soca Valley, a haven for thrill seekers with kayaking, rafting and canyoning all on the cards; and taste the delicious wines in Gorsika Brda.
With over 60% of the country covered in lush forests, and with more than 40 nature parks and reserves, there’s plenty of opportunity to head outside, hike, and discover the local flora and fauna.
Next, head west into Italy to explore the Dolomites on foot and by bike. Although this UNESCO-protected region is best known for skiing, the summer season has a lot going for it with long, warm days that are perfect for hiking adventures.

There’s a reason Italy’s Lakes region has attracted poets and celebrities alike for centuries and you’ll have the chance to learn why with a few days spent exploring this peaceful paradise. From picturesque boat trips to lazy afternoons by the water, prepare for serious R&R (and don’t forget a good book).
Swap lakes for luxury as you head to Switzerland, where you’ll spend five days exploring. Begin in the resort town of Saint Moritz, then enjoy a seriously scenic train journey through the Swiss Alps aboard the Glacier Express.
