"The Concierge were responsive and helpful on the couple of occasions we contacted them, and the hotels were great. Our favourite was Hôtel Version Maquis Santa Manza, Bonifacio - the buggy ride to the secluded beach was amazing! We really enjoyed the 4x4 tour of the Agriates desert too, and the guide was very good."

"Izzy has arranged a few European trips for us and she is fabulous. We have high expectations and were very happy with our trip. Our tour guide for three days was outstanding and the restaurant recommendations were exactly as we hoped. We do a lot of travel and this trip is at or near the top."

From charming towns and beautiful countryside to world-class ski resorts, there is no shortage of things to see and do in France during the cooler months. If you're looking for a traditional Christmas markets experience, head to Strasbourg, where you can wander through the quaint streets and soak up the festive atmosphere. Or explore the capital of Paris at its wintery best on a luxurious long weekend.

One of France's most popular winter holiday destinations is the town of Chamonix, located in the Haute-Savoie region of the Alps. This picturesque town is known for its stunning mountain views and world class ski, making it a perfect place to enjoy some winter sports. Even if you're not a skier or snowboarder, Chamonix is still worth a visit for its charming streets and cafes.

Another great option for France winter holidays is the town of Grenoble, located in the south-eastern part of the country. Grenoble is a popular destination for skiers, but it also offers plenty of other activities and attractions to keep you busy during your holiday. It is home to a cable car that takes you up to the top of the city's iconic Bastille fortress, and from there you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

If you're after slightly warmer climes, why not take a trip to the French Riviera? With its Mediterranean climate and stunning coastal views, it's the perfect place to relax and escape the gloom of winter.
