Malaysia Honeymoons

Kuala Lumpur is a wonderful hybrid of old and new with its colonial architecture and traditional street markets dotted amongst modern shopping malls and iconic skyscrapers. Even if you're not a city-lover, it's worth a stopover before heading off to Malaysia's paradise beaches.

The Langkawi archipelago plays host to some fairly spectacular mountainous landscape, which gives way to pristine white sand beaches, clear waters and offshore coral reefs. This, coupled with some truly fabulous luxury hotels and resorts, makes it a perfect honeymoon spot. But there's more, the tropical flora and fauna in this region are every nature lover's dream.

So far, so dreamy, but now for the off the beaten track stuff: Borneo. This has got to be one of the most original honeymoon destinations on the planet. Anyone with an iota of interest in wildlife will be blown away by the sheer diversity of beasties to behold; this is a place where 52 new species have been discovered since 2005 and, oh yeah, orang-utans! Other must-dos include trekking in the rainforest, visiting tribal regions and yes, relaxing on some beautiful beaches.
