Three waterfalls, two countries, one river. The Niagara Falls - located along the Niagara River - is made up of three separate waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls, located on the Canadian side; the American Falls, located (as the name would suggest) on the American side of the river; and Bridal Veil Falls, again, on the American side. Three thundering curtains of water rush over different breaks in the river bed, as a thin icy veil rises from the meeting point of falls and river. Foaming water pounds age-old boulders that lie at the foot of each of the Falls; 12,300 years in the making. The Canadian
- Horseshoe Falls - is the largest of the three torrents of water, with 90% of the Niagara River flowing over it’s steep drop. With its semi-circular shape and lush green banks, its beauty is undeniable. A must see for any trip to Canada’s east coast, Niagara Falls holidays are a deafening, spray-in-your-face, awe-struck, wide-eyed, thrilling adventure that you won’t want to miss.
