The award-winning Chedi is one of the very best hotels in the Gulf Region, home to luxurious guestrooms and suites, some of the finest cuisine in the Middle East and what could be a contender for the world’s longest hotel swimming pool.

The spacious and contemporary guestrooms and suites are set within 21 acres of manicured gardens, along the coastline of the Gulf of Oman. A colour palette of black, white and grey is both stylish and serene, and is used throughout the hotel from the guest accommodation, to the pool tiles, to the garden pathways.

Guestrooms are housed within the three storey Serai Wing, which encircles a palm and fountain filled courtyard, and the two storey Chedi Wing. The capacious Chedi Suites are dotted around the gardens, and boast private balconies or terraces - some with ocean views - and bathrooms which rival the bedrooms in size.

Dining at The Chedi can be an event in itself, from the sumptuous daily breakfast buffet served at The Restaurant, to The Beach Restaurant, lit by torches on the beach and open to the sounds of the ocean lapping the shore. More casual dining options are offered in the Arabian Courtyard, which serves authentic Arabic Mezze, and the Long Pool Cabana, where a menu of Japanese and Middle Eastern tapas is available.

Three swimming pools offer plenty of space for a cooling dip; the Serai pool is best suited to families, the beach pool is surrounded by shaded cabanas, while the long pool runs the length of the spa and gym leading out toward the sea. Talking of spa, the Chedi boasts a stunning spa facility, gently scented with fragrant oils, with spacious and luxurious treatment rooms and suitably low lit for complete relaxation.

Why we love it

If all that isn't enough, the gym at The Chedi is so slick that working off those indulgent meals is an absolute pleasure.
