100% customisable for you
Your holiday starts today with an overnight international flight to Singapore. Head to the airport, speed through security and treat yourself to a celebratory tipple in the lounge before boarding your flight, which will take around 13-and-a-half hours.
On arrival in the city, you’ll be met at the airport by a friendly representative before being privately transferred 20 minutes to your centrally located hotel. You'll likely be arriving in the evening, so check in, refresh and head out for a tasty dinner – we’ll happily make a reservation for you prior to travel, or our clued-up Concierge is on hand to recommend the very best places for your first holiday meal.
Rise and shine: it’s your first full day in Singapore. We’ve left today free for you to explore, so enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before grabbing your sunglasses and heading out into the city.
Singapore might have a reputation as a strait-laced city-state, but alongside its lush parks and towering monuments, it is chock-full of trendy shops, bustling markets and buzzing bars. Stroll along Arab Street for colourful textiles and diverse cuisine, visit the city’s vibrant temples or stop for a Singapore Sling in the iconic Raffles hotel – there is plenty to keep you busy.
Keen to explore the city’s parks? Make your way to the Singapore Botanic Gardens for a number of colourful themed gardens and trails or visit Gardens by the Bay to spot some rare plant species. If you’d prefer to dive into Singapore’s history and culture, the city is home to a number of museums and galleries, from the Asian Civilisations Museum to the National Gallery.
This morning, it’s time to leave Singapore behind and fly to Medan, the capital city of Sumatra, Indonesia. The flight time is around an hour and a half, and once you touch down, you’ll be privately transferred two and a half hours west to Bukit Lawang, a small village on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park.
Once you arrive, check into your charming hotel, which is nestled among the park’s natural beauty. You’ll be staying here for the next three nights, so spend the rest of the afternoon settling in and enjoying a sundowner amid the lush rainforest landscape.
The next two days are all about nature. Set in northern Sumatra, Gunung Leuser National Park spans a whopping 3,060 square miles of lush rainforest, complete with gushing waterfalls, volcanic landscapes and a small population of the critically endangered Sumatran orangutans.
Over the next few days, you’ll have the chance to experience the UNESCO-listed park in all its glory. Alongside an expert guide, head out into the rainforest for exhilarating treks through the jungle, keeping your eyes peeled for orangutans, Thomas’s leaf monkeys and a host of other endangered species such as Sumatran elephants, rhinos and tigers.
Travelling with an adrenaline junkie? No problem: on one of your days here, we’ll also arrange for you to go rafting through the rainforest, whizzing along its rivers and rapids aboard a traditional Indonesian boat.
In the evenings, head back to your base to relax and recover before enjoying a chilled drink, a tasty dinner and a good night’s sleep.
After a tranquil few days in the jungle, it’s time to travel to the cultural heart of Bali: Ubud. Enjoy one last rainforest breakfast before being privately transferred three and a half hours back to Medan Airport, where you’ll catch your flight to Denpasar. With a speedy stopover in Jakarta, the total travel time will be around six hours, so hit play on our expertly curated destination playlist and watch as you soar over lush Indonesian landscapes.
Once you touch down in Denpasar, you’ll be met and privately transferred two hours to your hotel in Ubud, winding past terraced rice paddies and grand Hindu temples.
On arrival, spend the rest of the afternoon unwinding by the pool at your new hotel. If you fancy a little more R&R, we could book a rejuvenating treatment at one of Ubud’s world-class spas, either in your hotel or at one nearby.
This morning, dive straight into Balinese culture with a traditional batik workshop. Guided by a friendly local artisan, discover the art of batik, a UNESCO-listed textile dyeing technique that originated in Java and spread across the country. After a crash course in batik’s history, your guide will help you to create a personal memento using the traditional batik tulis technique, which you can then take home as a souvenir of your time in Bali.
When you’ve finished creating your batik, you’ll be treated to a traditional Balinese lunch with a local family, allowing you to delve further into the city’s rich culture and cuisine. Once you’re suitably stuffed, either head back to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon or venture out into the bustling city to explore – our local Concierge can recommend some hotspots and hidden gems.
We’ve left today free for you to explore Ubud at your own pace. The town centre is delightfully walkable, so spend the morning strolling along the main road, stopping into small shops and vibrant cafés. If you fancy a little more culture after yesterday, there are also a number of museums and galleries, from the Blanco Renaissance Museum to the Neka Ubud Gallery.
Keen walkers can put on their hiking hats and head out to tackle the ‘rice field trek’, swapping the hustle and bustle of the town centre for the peaceful pace of Bali’s rice paddies. You’ll likely work up an appetite with all that walking, so stop and sample some local specialities at the charming warungs (small restaurants) dotted along the paths.
Come evening, a traditional Balinese performance is a must-see. Make your way to one of the town’s awe-inspiring temples for a dance, song and theatre display, soaking up Bali’s rich heritage as you watch.
Today, wave goodbye to Ubud as you’re privately transferred to the northwestern corner of Bali. The journey will take around five hours in total, but don’t worry: along the way, stop and stretch your legs at Banjar Temple. This important religious site is the largest Buddhist monastery in Bali, and you’ll have the chance to discover its lush vegetation and crystal-clear springs.
After visiting Banjar, you’ll be transferred the rest of the way to Pemuteran, a former fishing village on Bali’s northern coast. After a busy, adventure-filled week and a half, this is your chance to sit back and relax in the gorgeous Balinese sunshine, so drop your things and head straight down to the beach for a cocktail before sunset and dinner.
The next two days are all about sunbathing, swimming and feeling the sand between your toes. Whether you’d rather spend your days relaxing in a hammock or getting stuck into your holiday read, these Balinese beaches are the perfect place for a little R&R, so grab your sunglasses and head out onto the sand.
If the desire to explore does strike, there are a number of things to see and do here, too. If you’re water lovers, embark on a snorkelling trip to spot snapper and sharks or try your hand at surfing; if you’d rather stay on dry land, you can visit local temples at sunset and learn how to make your own satay sauce during a cooking class.
After one last beach breakfast this morning, you’ll be picked up and privately transferred south to Jimbaran, which will take around five hours. Along the way, you’ll be treated to a stop at Tepi Sawah, a local restaurant serving Balinese and western food amid Ubud’s lush rice paddies.
Once you arrive, check into your new home and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on Jimbaran’s renowned white-sand beach.
It’s your final full day today, so spend your time making the most of Jimbaran’s peaceful vibes and beach landscapes. If you’d prefer to spend your last day relaxing, no problem: sink into the sand or lounge by the hotel pool, coffee (or cocktail) in hand. For a little bit of exploration, head out to visit the town’s traditional markets or bohemian shops.
This evening, we can arrange for you to round off the holiday right with a cruise to Uluwatu Temple at sunset. Climb aboard a traditional black pearl boat and drift along the coast, watching as the sun paints the sky in a golden glow and creates a dramatic silhouette of the cliffside temple – does it get any better than this?
Sadly, it’s time to wave goodbye to Asia today as you begin the journey back to real life. After one last beach breakfast, you’ll be privately transferred 30 minutes to Denpasar Airport, where you’ll board your first flight back to Singapore. After a quick stopover (and one last tipple in the airport lounge), it’s time to catch your overnight flight home. The journey will take between 18 and 25 hours in total, and you’ll arrive back in the UK the next day, sporting a golden tan and a bucket-load of holiday memories.
