The Seychelles are made up of 115 islands, making a complete expedition around this archipelago fairly far-fetched. But don’t worry. On this 11-day escape, you’ll be savouring the cream of the crop, hopping between three fabulous islands, each as idyllic as the other.

Your journey begins in Silhouette, home to charming Creole houses and lush landscapes. Here, you can fill your days with beachside basking, coastal cruising and (for a more active pursuit) tropical hiking.

A short plane ride takes you to your second stop: Praslin. Another Eden-esque escape, this (ever-so-slightly larger) island boasts an array of equally enchanting landscapes. From its white-sand beaches to its dense and delightful forest, Praslin is packed full of wonders, along with enough variety to cater to the adventurous and languid alike.

Closing out this trio of spectacular Seychelles settings is the island of Felicite. Until the late 20th century, this lush landscape was a coconut plantation home to just 50 residents. Today, there may be fewer coconuts, but there aren’t many more people, making it a truly unmatched (and wonderfully tranquil) place to spend your final days in the Seychelles.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Your 11-day Seychelles sojourn begins today. Dig out your beachwear, head to the airport and settle into the lounge before your direct overnight flight to Mahe, a journey that takes just over ten hours. When you arrive, a private driver will be waiting to take you to the port, ready for your transfer by boat to Silhouette Island – your sunny slice of paradise for the next three nights.

Silhouette, the third-largest island in the Seychelles, remained unpopulated until the early 19th century and it still has a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere today, with just a handful of hotels connected by pretty paths, and a wild interior crossed by hiking trails.

Over the next two days, sample the many experiences on offer here. Venture out onto the azure waters on a fishing trip, try your hand at Creole cooking or gain a new (and brilliantly niche) skill during a coconut palm weaving workshop. Of course, there is also the abundant nature just waiting for you to delve in – accompanied by a friendly and knowledgeable guide who can introduce you to the most beautiful trails.

Having explored the centre of the island, it’s time to trace Silhouette’s silhouette (we couldn’t pass this one up, sorry). Hop aboard a boat for a serene cruise, gliding past coconut trees, blissful beaches, dense tropical vegetation and a sublime lagoon that seems to go all the way around the island.

Today, it’s time to pry yourself away from the sandy shores of Silhouette. But don’t dismay; another island paradise awaits. You’ll be transferred to the port to return to Mahe airport, where you’ll smugly slip past all the flights leaving the Seychelles on the way to your internal flight to Praslin. When you land, a private car will whisk you away to your hotel hideaway, ready for another three nights of remote rejuvenation.

The second-largest island in the Seychelles, Praslin is famous for its beautiful beaches, but it’s also home to one of the oldest forests in the archipelago: the mythical Vallee de Mai. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this lush landscape feels like stepping into another world, one filled with soaring palms and massive seeds – no, really. This forest is home to the largest seed in the world, coco de mer (which somewhat less enticingly translates to ‘sea coconut’).

Here, surrounded by red rocks, black parrots and white beaches, enjoy daily breakfasts on your terrace and nightly cocktails at sunset. During the day, laze about in the pool or plunge into a good book on your sun lounger. Fancy something a little more thrilling? Take advantage of the balmy breeze during a windsurfing session. Beneath the waters’ glimmering surface, there’s also a world of wonders to explore, so be sure to make time for a spot of snorkelling, too. Back on dry land, perfect your swing on one of Praslin’s picturesque golf courses, marvelling at the views between plays, of course.

If you just can’t get enough of island life (and who could blame you?), we can also arrange for you to take a short ferry over to La Digue for the day.

Bid a fond farewell to Praslin this morning as you prepare for your private transfer back to the port. From here, catch the boat to the neighbouring island of Felicite (whose name is no overstatement), where you’ll spend three nights in a heavenly hotel with dreamy Indian Ocean views.

Perched on the other side of La Digue, Felicite is a small (only 652-acre), lush, granite island, fringed by soft sand beaches. The next few days are yours to spend as you please. Laze on the sand, dip in the pool, snorkel along the shore or skim the shimmering surface on a boat trip. And for some heat-friendly exercise under the Seychelles sun? Set off on a gentle wander around the island, cycle along its felicitous (sorry, couldn’t resist) paths or indulge in an early-morning yoga session.

As the sun sets and the skies glow golden, why not scale to the top of the granite hill for a champagne aperitif? The perfect place to toast to a trip well spent.

Your Seychelles sojourn draws to a close today. To bat away some of those end-of-holiday blues, we’ve arranged for a private helicopter to transfer you back to Mahe airport – a final magical moment before you head home.

Once you’ve breezed through security and settled into your seat, lean back, relax and get ready to touchdown in the UK the following morning.

LA DIGUE BY BIKE

After a short boat crossing from Praslin, explore the postcard-perfect landscapes of La Digue. The lagoon-bordered beaches fringing this little island are truly astonishing, while the coconut palms provide an extra dose of exoticism. The best way to discover this pint-sized paradise? By bike.
