Enjoy the tropical paradise of Praslin, the Seychelles’ second largest island, on this ten-day trip exploring postcard-perfect beaches, ancient rainforests and coral reefs brimming with kaleidoscopic marine life.

Your journey begins with an overnight stay on Mahe Island, before you head to Praslin and your luxurious home-from-home on a private estate, amid a tranquil setting of swaying coconut palms, exotic orchids and mango trees.

During your stay, there’s plenty of time for beach hopping, snorkelling, R&R and lazing in hammocks as well as mini road trips around the island in your rental car. A must-see is the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to gaze in awe and soak up the atmosphere of the ancient palm forest.

The neighbouring islands of La Digue and Curieuse (home to giant tortoises) are about a 20-minute ferry ride away, with a treasure trove of swimming and snorkelling spots to discover.

Finally, your dreamy adventure wraps up with the ultimate castaway experience: your own desert island for the day. You’ll be dropped off by boat, so that you can enjoy this slice of paradise in total seclusion. Think pristine white sands, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs with sea turtles and giant tortoises for company.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Your adventure in the Seychelles starts today, so make your way to the airport and speed through security for an overnight flight to Mahe (direct flights from the UK take around ten hours). On landing, you’ll be privately transferred to your villa in an exclusive location in Beau Vallon, tucked between tropical gardens and the Indian Ocean.

As you settle in for your two-night stay, unwind and admire the breathtaking turquoise waters just steps away from your accommodation. To start your holiday off the right way, why not indulge in a pre-dinner massage at the onsite spa Pure bliss. Come evening, grab a restaurant table under the stars for a delicious dinner of local seafood and Creole cuisine.

Spend the day enjoying this tranquil island and its idyllic beaches, replete with crystal-clear waters and powder-soft white sands. One of our favourites is at Beau Vallon Bay, just a short walk away from your villa. Why not kick things off with a beachfront yoga session? Then, spend some time kayaking on a stunning blue lagoon or while away the hours snorkelling, before a soothing hammam (steam bath) and a candlelit dinner on your private terrace.

Today’s destination is Praslin, the Seychelles’ second-largest island, for a four-night stay on a private estate on the south-east coast. From Mahe, you’ll be privately transferred to the airport to catch a 20-minute flight, before picking up a hire car and driving to your villa.

After settling into your new (and equally beautiful) surroundings, unwind with a cooling drink in hand as you wander through a tropical paradise of gently swaying coconut palms, mango trees, vibrant orchids and fragrant lemongrass. Later, enjoy sundowner cocktails and tuck into Creole dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients.

After waking up in paradise, on today’s agenda is a visit to the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve – a UNESCO World Heritage site – to experience the beauty of this protected ancient palm forest. Follow the trails to spot native flora and fauna, including the coco de mer (coconut of the sea) palm that produces the world’s largest nut, rare black parrots, and small, shiny lizards called Seychelles skinks. After exploring the natural world, head back to your villa for some R&R and get stuck into a good book as you settle under palm trees rippling in the warm breeze.

The next couple of days are yours to spend how you please (and there’s no shortage of things to do). How about snorkelling at Anse Lazio? This postcard-perfect beach with crystalline waters is home to an array of rainbow-coloured marine life. Or maybe a scuba diving lesson with a PADI certified instructor?

Keen golfers can practise their swing at Constance Lemuria Golf Course, which weaves its way through a stunning tropical landscape and overlooks two glorious white beaches. There are also neighbouring islands only a quick 15-minute ferry ride away. Why not hire bikes and have a spin around La Digue or check out the giant tortoises on Curieuse Island? Whatever you decide, our local Concierge is always on hand to make suggestions and help to arrange activities.

All your desert island dreams become real today: we’ve arranged for an entire island to be yours for the day. The good news is that your tropical paradise is only a 30-minute boat ride away, surrounded by glassy turquoise waters that gently lap against sugary white sands.

The vibrant coral reef surrounding the island is brimming with marine life and darting colourful fish, so make sure to bring a snorkel and mask to experience this magical underwater world. Manta rays, surgeonfish, angelfish, parrotfish and beautiful sea turtles are common sightings, and you might even see dolphins if you’re lucky.

Between dips and swims, amble through the tropical rainforest to reach other beaches, spotting snoozing giant tortoises along the way. Later today, meet your skipper on the jetty for the return journey after a blissful day on your very own desert island.

Sadly, it's your last morning in paradisical Praslin. After saying your goodbyes (and maybe one last visit to that dreamy beach), drop off the hire car before catching a ten-hour flight to the UK, arriving back on home turf the next day.
